In His graciousness, God has blessed us to enter a new century. When you look back on the years and experiences you had in the last century, you probably wonder why you did not lose your mind. When you think about some of the traumas and extreme challenges you had to contend with, you know you should have had a breakdown or been confined to the rubber room.

But God opened doors for you that no man could shut. He made ways out of no ways. He was your shoulder to cry on, your counselor to vent your troubles to, and your comforter when you needed to grieve. He was your strength when you were weak and wanted to stop in your tracks, your peace in chaos, your protector when enemies rose up against you and your courage when you wanted to throw in the towel.

So we enter a new century, but what does that mean? Reality insist that we accept the high probability that this century will greatly resemble the last in terms of trouble, murders, drugs, hate, death, and mishaps. Evil is just as present today as it was yesterday. Satan is still the prince of this world. We are well aware that even in this 21st century, man’s inhumanity to man will continue; we will treat each other badly and bring each other down. Even in this 21st century, we will be victims of racism, sexism, jealousy, envy, hatred, malice, oppression, and all kinds of abuse. Even in this 21st century, we will still have to cope with physical illness and handicaps; traffic accidents and freak accidents and accidents of nature.

The truth of the matter is plain. If we are going to make it through, we are going to need that same source of power that got us through our previous years. God’s power! It really does not matter what lies ahead in the days ahead, rest assured, God knows and has it all under His divine control. I rest in the knowledge that everything is proceeding in accordance with His divine purpose and will however things may appear.

1. You Are Truly an Angel, Radiating Your Love Wherever You Go By George Lockett
"I will continue to try and do my own part to alleviate fear, which I feel is the greatest stumbling block on our collective way towards change."I agree with the above statement, but I would just like to suggest changing a couple of words: Change "try" I feel when we are trying we are not being ourselves. I feel it is better to be true to yourself and just be whom you are. Change "Fear" Fear is the opposite of love, if we honour ourselves and follow our hearts desire, we will be coming from lo…

2. God Versus the Gods By Robert Baird
Aristotle referred to happiness as the most we can achieve. Demons and gods were interchangeable in the time of Homer when people had far less institutionalized manipulation of their thoughts and soulful understandings. What is the ‘anima’ referred to by Aristotle and other sages? It is easy to be happy without all the things we obsess over. The balance of our constituent selves and the possibility of participation in creating a whole, or in conjunction with that WHOLE is going to be hard to be…

3. Why Good Things Happen to Bad People By Saundra L. Washington
One cannot ask why bad things happen to good people without also feeling the same tinge of injustice when we contemplate why good things happen to bad people. This is the question that anguished the Psalmist. He found himself in terrible distress and agony of soul. He says, “My feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold.”The Psalmist was experiencing a very old problem; one that is still with us today. He had begun to observe the prosperity of the wicked. He began to notice that th…

4. Grace - The Divine Influence of God By Dustin Gray
The greatest frustration in a Christian’s life is not being able to get what they believe to work in their lives. You’ve got people who have studied and believed that it’s God’s will to heal them. They know from scripture that Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried their pains and by His stripes they’re healed, but they just can’t get it to work. They know they ought to be changing, to be transformed into the image of God but the only image they’ve become is the image of the person they were bef…
