Simon We found in the previous sections that the universe exists because of attraction, affinity or love and that the Creator is love. We are looking for further proof that the creator is love, unconditional love.

The nature of love must tally with the nature of the Creator in all respects. The next nature I looked for in the Creator was His granting freedom to his Creation, because Love should give freedom, complete freedom to its beloved.

Complete freedom means independence, the right to disobey the Creator, freedom to do evil, to commit atrocities, hurt fellow beings, to create havoc in the world, destroy His creation, even attempt to destroy Him and declare Him Dead as Friedrich Nietzsche did. In spite of all these possibilities the Creator has given freedom to his creation because that is the nature of love, unconditional love.

Therefore, evil in the world is the result of love, infinite love. We could argue that the Creator should have given freedom to do only what is right and not evil. That would not be complete freedom. Granting full freedom further proves that the nature of the Creator is love. The next characteristic of love I investigated was attraction. Love must attract and not dispel. I found attraction emphasised in Quantum Chromodynamics which asserts that the force that holds quarks together within the proton is gluon, an attraction. When quarks move farther apart, the gluons get stronger and pull them together. The farther the quarks get, the stronger the gluons become. For this reason, an individual quark has not been seen.

On the other hand, the nearer the gluons come, the weaker the attraction becomes. This is the opposite of what we expect. Why does this happen? It is to give freedom for the quarks to move within the protons. This tallies well with the nature of love that allows freedom to everything. This is a classical proof that the universe is created with love and that the Creator is love. When we are convinced that love is the basic element of existence, we will persist to prove that truth just as when we know that two and two is four, we will not accept any other answer as correct. If we get another answer, we will look again and again until we see where we made the mistake. That is what we have to do in assessing the nature of the Creator.

Khalil Gibran, the Lebanese-born American citizen, poet, painter, and philosopher, wrote in his book, The Prophet, that men looking at their own shadow, thought that the sun is a caster of shadows. We can look in the wrong direction and get wrong answers. So to find the truth, we must repeatedly investigate our findings.

There is an anecdote that illustrates this point. An engineer, an experimental physicist, a theoretical physicist and a philosopher were hiking through the hills of Scotland. From the crest of a hill they spotted a black sheep on the next hill. The engineer spoke out first , 'Look, the sheep in Scotland are black'. The experimental physicist interjected. 'Some of the sheep in Scotland are black' The theoretical physicist thought for a while and countered, saying 'At least one sheep in Scotland is black'. The philosopher broke his long silence as conclusion, 'At least on one side.' If we critically examine our findings we will find the right answer.

The next important character of the creator I investigated was giving.' 'Love' should give everything it has and not just a pittance out of his or her resources. Creator cannot be satisfied after giving me an iota of his immense assets. St. Paul wrote 'Love bestoweth everything.' This is to say that, if the Creator is love, He/ She has to share His/Her wisdom, knowledge, power, strength and everything it has with us. This has not happened so far. Why?

The giver cannot give more than the receiver can receive. We cannot give a one pound gold brick to a three month old infant who can hold only a quarter ounce rattle. We cannot teach infinitesimal calculus to a third grade student. So, the Creator has to upgrade the ability of human beings to receive divine knowledge and power. This is happening now.

We are in the age of information. Knowledge is doubling and redoubling in shorter and shorter periods. There is an explosion of information.

In his Chronology of Science And Discovery, Isaac Asimov, the prodigious science writer, recorded hundreds of discoveries taking place in shorter and shorter periods.

I gathered and tabulated them and found the first twenty-five discoveries took two million years, the next twenty-five took only sixteen hundred years and the third twenty-five took only three hundred years. Then discoveries increased in numbers and the time lapse reduced. Now, there is an explosion of information every day about outer space, space travel, radio galaxies, quasars, genes, nucleotides, genetically altered drugs, food products, growth patterns, sex alterations, cloning, disease prevention and treatments, microsurgery, nanotechnology and on and on. Computer knowledge is advancing so fast that new models become almost obsolete within a short period. The next generation computer is in the making before marketing the present model.

This proves that knowledge is increasing at a very fast rate. Of course, it is evidence that the Creator is trying to impart knowledge as quickly as possible to human beings. But only those with prepared mind will grasp the significance of all this explosion of knowledge.

In the next section, we will investigate how far we have come and when and what will be the final end.

Exercise 6Put the right hand on knee, both fingers and thumb closed, except the first finger, which points out in front of you. Then move the finger slowly from side to side, keeping the attention fixed upon the end of the finger. You can make up a variety of exercises like these. It is good training to plan out different ones. The main point you should keep in mind is that the exercise should be simple and that the attention should be firmly fixed upon the moving part of the body. You will fi…

2. Following a Spiritual Path By Dave Ferruolo
In these days of Spiritual rebirth, there are many sages of knowledge, who willingly and lovingly profess their doctrines of light and love. It is sometimes easy to get lost in the whirlwind of information provided by new age authors, spiritual teachers and of course the Internet. As a seeker of Truth myself, I know the difficulty of sifting through piles of books and browsing endless web pages to find what is right for me. But I have learned to take an easier path to find what resonates fo…

3. Can Moms Have a 'Quiet Time', Too? By Eunice Coughlin
Spending ‘Quiet Time’ with the LordFrom the beginning of my Christian life as a new mom, I knew that I needed quiet time. Today’s new mom might think that term means time for the kids to be quiet and take a nap. Yippee! But it’s really a time for you to be quiet with God. It’s a time to spend alone with Him, to read His Word and share your heart with Him. It’s a time of spiritual refreshment so that you can be filled with grace and strength to do what you need to do in your daily life. It kee…

4. The Dark Side of Spirituality By Sharif Khan
On reading Susan Cato’s Time Magazine Canada piece titled, “In Search of the Spiritual,” I became increasingly annoyed at the realization that many people keep making the erroneous split between religion and spirituality, when they are one and the same. For example, in the Time Canada piece, Rabbi Leigh Lerner, who leads the Temple Emanu-El–Beth Sholom, a Reform congregation in Montreal, states, “Religiosity may not be increasing, but spirituality is,” confirming the notion that ‘spirituality …
