Are you always looking for bargains, especially something that you can get for free? The thought is that this will somehow enhance your life and perhaps make you feel more empowered, correct?

Well I would like to bring your attention to the real hidden cost of choosing to accept anything for free. What does the idea that one needs to have something for free say about that individual? Well it says that that individual is choosing to believe that they do not have the capacity to create anything of value themselves.

I'll say that again, it says that:

"That individual is choosing to believe that they do not have the capacity to create anything of value themselves".

Now say that to yourself and notice how it makes you feel inside. If you are someone who is in the habit of choosing to accept things for free then that statement above applies to you, whether you like it or not. My guess is that you probably don't like it because it makes you feel some or all of the following:

a) Powerless,

b) Helpless,

c) Low Self Worth,

d) Low Self Confidence,

e) Poor,

f) Trapped in Deprivation,

g) Sad,

h) Hopeless,

i) Frustrated,

j) Heaviness,

k) Weak.

So what is the real cost to you? Well it actually takes away all of your power doesn't it? By power, I mean things like:

a) Your Self Esteem,

b) Your Self Worth,

c) Your Self Confidence

d) Your Inspiration or Motivation

e) Your Energy

f) Your Creativity

How valuable is your power to create whatever you desire to you?

I'm sure you'll agree that it is priceless, isn't it?

So the cost to you of habitually accepting things for free, like this article for instance, is priceless.

One last thought, this article is not meant to be free. How you choose to take it is up to you. It is not my intention to take away your power. That's something you choose to do to yourself.

It's my intention to help remind you how you may tend to give it away. Now you may think this is just another marketing ploy, it isn't! That's your thoughts telling you that it's better to remain a victim of the belief that "Free" is a good thing (You may wish to refer to another recent article of mine entitled "All Your Problems Are Based in False Beliefs")

By "victim" I mean that when you choose to accept things for free you essentially become a victim because you have just given away your power. And, isn't someone who is powerless essentially a victim? Do you want to be a Victim?

1. Choose Life or Death By Vivian Gordon
No one, not even God can make us choose the right things. He gave us the freedom of choice where our own lives are concerned. Life is full of choices. Many of them which we assume will give us life are really only secondary to what our whole purpose is.The world tells us we need careers, we need education, we need marriage, children, we need to be able to afford the very best of what life has to offer. In other words, we need to make ourselves "feel" fulfilled, even at the expense of h…

2. 7 Ways to Stay Spiritually Balanced By Catherine Franz
When we find spirituality, or it finds us, the experience feels surreal. We begin to feel like we're walking on a tightrope between two different worlds. We become ungrounded and loose touch with the physical side of life. When our spiritual mission becomes clear, it is even truer. Learning to breathe and to walk between these two experiences until they merge can be a tough balancing act. It’s easy to choose and get lost in the new experience because it feels so good and so right. Regular a…

One cannot read the account of Benhadad and Hazael in God’s word not be overcome by a certain sense of sadness. You recall Benhadad was ill and sent Hazael to the prophet Elisha to make inquiries regarding his recovery. Elisha told Hazael that Benhadad would not die from his illness, but that he would nevertheless, die. Elisha then stared with horror at Hazael before suddenly bursting out in tears. Not understanding what was happening to Elisha, Hazael asks him why he was crying. Elisha tells …
