Robert Frost has always been one of my favorite poets. And one of my favorite Frost poems is The Road Not Taken.

Here are some excerpts from that poem:

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could . . .

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

Over the years, you've probably heard Joseph and other teachers say all our power is in this present moment.

But that notion does not make a lot of sense to so many struggling souls on this planet today.

Especially those who feel shackled by the past, and the choices and 'mistakes' they made way back then. They often agonize over the road they chose -- perhaps the one less traveled by. Or perhaps the road not taken.

Here's Chief Joseph.

CHIEF JOSEPH

What you perceive as linear time is not at all what you think. Even on this earth plane you occupy, time is not what you think. It is not a progression from past to present to future.

You see, friends, past, present, and future all exist now. That is why we always say all your power is in this present moment.

Everything that has ever happened exists now. Obviously, everything that is happening exists now. And everything that will happen exists now.

Those of you familiar with our friend Seth have heard him call these probable (or parallel) realities. But they are not probable in the sense that they might happen some day. They are happening right now.

That is why we often say you are not shackled by your so called 'past.' Your 'past' is now. Your future is now. All of it is now. Your past is happening now, your future is happening now.

What you perceive as linear time is simply a movement of your conscious awareness, or your focus, from one point in the grid of all that is to another point. It all exists now.

And you create your now reality by what you choose to focus on. Of all the possible paths you could take, you choose the one you do take by your deliberate choice and focus. Or, if you decide not to choose (which is still a choice), you choose by default.

And you create and re-create your past and your future realities by what you choose to focus on now. Neither the past nor the future are fixed. All your power is now, and you choose what your past and future are now.

Friends, do you see how your awareness of this brings you total freedom? The past is not over and done with. The future is not pre-ordained.

You can mold your past and your future by how you flow your consciousness now.

Time does not exist. All there is is your flow of consciousness. And you get to choose how you will focus your consciousness, and how you will mold and create the reality of your wildest dreams.

You are free -- totally and utterly free!

1. When Bad Things Happen (Part 2) By Saundra L. Washington
The good that Paul writes about is a commitment of life to the sovereign will of God. It is complete trust in God. It is a conviction that cannot be blurred even by the reality of human suffering.Unfortunately, unlike Paul, many of us do not trust God as our sovereign Lord. We spend so much of our time and energies running around trying to reason things out and only running into dead end streets. We have enormous difficulty understanding and accepting the obvious spiritual truth that being goo…

Perhaps one of the most wonderful assertions that can be made about Holy Scriptures is that it clearly shows man in all his humanness. If you really want to understand yourself, if you really desire to know who you are, then it would behoove you to study the sacred Writ and let God speak to your soul. When we read David’s Psalms (55:6), we immediately sense his state of emotional being. He is hurting deeply. Not physically, but emotionally and spiritually. His soul is heavy; his spirit is at an…

I can't boast about my culinary skill, because I just don't have the natural ability to get around in a kitchen and "whip" something up. I am one of those people who lacks the imagination to throw something together. My sister on the other hand can make a gourmet meal out of a handful of ingredients and feed a family of 5.Sadly enough I am the kind of person who needs directions, a recipe to follow because without them I haven't got a clue. Unless it's something I can bake, fry, grill o…

Do you ever wonder about the other “YOU ?”The one that speaks to you quietly, the one that helps you find inspiration. It is in your spirit that the feeling of love and peace reign supreme. It is where happiness is free to embrace you.It is the voice that shouts the emptiness of your life, despite all the trappings of luxury that you surround yourself with. It is the loneliness that overwhelms you , calling to you to wake up. There’s more to life than wallowing in your misery. It’s your spi…
