The very basic of man in order to live peacefully, he has to know and practise it in his daily life. If man cannot follow and disrespect this simple basic then his life will be in chaos and he cannot live a peaceful life. The five basic are:

1]Care and concern between parents and children - Parental love is the greatest of all since parents are always very protective. They will reserve the best for their children but make no demands in return. On the other hand, the children should repay them by being filial and taking good care of them in their old age. With this relationship established, there will be harmony in the family.

2]Mutual respect between husband and wife - Spouses are to be responsible and caring. In any marriages, it is important for husbands and wives to have mutual respect, trust and understanding. Both parties must be willing to discuss problems openly and to make compromise before making decisions. Only then can a married life be meaningful and satisfying.

3]Harmonious relationship of the elder and the younger - The elders, by virtue are being more experience and knowledgeable, play the role of advisors whereby they provide guidance and support for the younger ones. The younger in return must respect their elders. Showing tolerance for one another will also help to reduce conflict among siblings. Family properties should be well-taken care of instead of fighting over them for own possession. In this way, brotherly and sisterly affection will prevail in the family.

4]Righteousness of the superior and his subordinates - The superior should always treat the subordinates with politeness while the subordinates should serve the superior with loyalty. The superior should not adopt the attitude of King Jie and King Zhou from Xia and Yin Dynasty respectively, who were tyrants at that time. Similarly, the subordinates should not adopt the attitude of Cao Cao (A Prime Minister during the Han Dynasty 155 AD TO 220 AD) and Qin Kuai (A Prime Minister in Sung Dynasty), who were disloyal to their Emperor. As such, the superior who respects their subordinates will have loyal subordinates and thus righteousness will prevail.

5]Trust between friends - Nobody in this world can live without friends. A true friend will always stay by your side in happiness or sorrow, in difficulties and in troubles. Although a true friend is hard to find, we can take the initiative to be one by establishing true friendship based on sincerity, trust and loyalty.

The world will live in peace and happiness if we make the effort to foster a harmonious relationship. All the five points are the five basic aspects of human relationship and can be easily followed if one is willing.

This is the saying of my Heavenly Teacher JiGong, "As a member of the family, we must treat the other family members with a sincere heart. Sincerity is Tao. We must treat everybody this way. How to carry out sincerity between husband and wife? There must be mutual understanding for each other. Between father and son (parents and children), when it calls for strictness, the father should be strict. When it calls for loving-kindness, the father must advise the son with kindly words.

Then only, people would not find themselves living in a battlefield and dwelling in hell. Hence, when it is time to be strict, the father must guide the son with Truth. He should give the son a true, correct and sensible way to follow. And in showing his loving-kindness, he must use the Principle of Oneness to untie the knot in the son's heart, so that both hearts can link together. Starting with the family and human relations, we'll move on to the Tao fields (temples), then further to the society and all the way to everywhere. Hence, to cultivate the Way of Heaven, one must start with cultivating the Way of Human or Man."
